Definition of RAM
“ Random Access Memory” is the full form of RAM. This is the part in which we can store our program and data. This type of memory works very fast but the content of RAM gets erased whenever you turn off or restart the computer machine. So it is called “Volatile Memory”.
The Functions of RAM
The functions of RAM are given below-
1) Store data and instructions to process.
2) Store intermediate results of processing.
3) Erased or overwrite the already stored information whenever necessary.

Definition of SRAM
“Static Random Access Memory” is the full form of SRAM. This type RAM made by the technology of ‘Transistor’. So this RAM accesses the data or information very quickly. The cost of this type of RAM is very high. Refresh is not necessary this RAM.
Definition of DRAM
“Dynamic Random Access Memory” is the full form of DRAM. This type of RAM made by the technology of ‘capacitor’. This type of RAM works slowly. The cause to refresh is necessary for this type of memory lost electrical charge shortly. DRAM stores data more than SRAM. This type of RAM is low priced than SRAM, so it is used in large number of computer.
